Conference Fellows
Want to go to the conference but can't afford the registration cost? Apply to become a National Conference Fellow! Fellows are awarded a registration waiver to the national conference which includes access to all events and all conference meals.
What is a conference fellow? How do fellows benefit the organization?
Fellows:
- Assist in pre-conference set-up
- Preside over conference sessions
- Register conference attendees
- Assist special guest speakers
- Help set-up graduate/career fair
- Assist with various conference logistics
- Assist presenters of workshops, paper sessions, and facilitate evaluations
- Check name tags at required events
- Help wrap up the conference
- Any other duties that will ensure the smooth operation of the conference
- Be prepared to spend 15-20 hours doing any/all of the above
What is required?
- Only current NBGSA members may apply for the position of Conference Fellow
- Complete the application
- All Conference Fellows must be able to arrive at the conference site one day prior to the conference start by 7 p.m. for a mandatory orientation
- Fellows are responsible for funding their own travel and hotel accommodations
The deadline for fellow applications is January 15, 2012.
