Paper Competitions
We are soliciting written papers explaining the issues, methodologies, and outcomes of research involving a single topic. A scholarly paper may be a research report, case study, methodological paper, theoretical paper, or scientific display. The documents are not to exceed 20 pages total, double spaced and should follow the guidelines of the associated discipline (MLA, APA, etc.). No more than 2 tables and/or figures may be included. Additionally, papers should include a short abstract (150-200 words). Papers will be refereed by professors and graduate students who have volunteered for and been elected to academic representative positions within NBGSA. Participants must be in attendance at the conference but are not required to give an oral or poster presentation during the conference.
In addition, winners and a selection of the best papers will be eligible for publication in Call and Response: The Scholarly Journal of the NBGSA. (Note: It is possible that a paper may be accepted for presentation but will not appear in the journal).
